Not sure if I’ve previously missed it on the Ann’s regarding 100 St George, but interesting to see that it’s worded as an equipment screen. Whilst this is very much technically apart of the building superstructure and assuming it’s in relation to the roof and not some mid level mezzanine, these walls can range anywhere between 1 to 4 story’s in height with various exposed/open levels inside to protect plant equipment (for people who have never been on a high rise roof).
Whilst it may not seem that exciting, I’ve had a few doubts about the retrofit market in a high density city setting as you don’t really want to replace random bits of a facade for not much gain.
With the smaller building foot prints of taller building, generally speaking there isn’t much room for vast amounts of solar panels. Whilst the product won’t be suitable for all buildings, I think it’s a good promotional tool for other building owners to see, as it’s a relatively easy installation as a lot of the time these areas sit back from the edge of the roof and could be carried out relatively easy whilst plant upgrades are carried out at a relatively cost effective price.
