With respect mate, the people who think a CR is a possibility are not delusional. You're last paragraph states the scenario we are talking about.
Agreed, we have plenty of cash under a normal scenario.
However if it speeds up the R&D work to get to market quicker, a much higher margin product that the market seems to want, it would make sense to do it.
If we can make a discreet chip, no selector required , there are several market niches where WBT would have a very competitive product. Combined annual revenue of those niches is around $3Billion annually. If we were making our own chips instead of ip licensing, the % of income we keep is much higher. If that scenario played out any CR would be a massive positive.
