The fact you're even suggesting we 'make our own chips' is absurd
Foundries not only cost BILLIONS to build but also take YEARS to make. The CapEX from a money and time perspective is phenomenal. There's a reason the leaders in this industry have such a huge moat.
Plenty of the biggest companies in the world operate foundry-less (Don't make their own chips) think AMD, NVIDIA
Pretty happy for WBT to adopt this model.
