Depending on how far those potential customers were into their product development/production, how likely do you think they are from holding off after a 2-year+ delay on a single component in their product? I would think some risk mitigation could be in order and some seriously smooth talking required by Coby after that. If these were American product companies before looking for simple supply-chain local development vs now a South Korean source, look for other, local alternatives?
Note my statement is around the niche product companies Coby was talking about which initially looked to produce via SkyWater and were attempting to be bridged over to DB Hi-Tek. Whichever of these customers who were initially enticed into using Weebit's ReRAM, they would be the likely first-off-the-block customers due to having specification plans to include Weebit ReRAM. How many of these would have waited around for this component to be realised? imo getting the device out there sooner with an alternative component is worth more than a particular component that makes up the entire device. These devices are to solve problems and that is what brings money in the door. One selling point of that device regarding power usage may not break the back and potentially be introduced in an incremental, newer version of the product depending on how things go.
