Because this is a retail investor forum. It is predominantly retail investor held stock. THese forums can move micro caps, ergo down rampers left unchecked en masse can move stocks you have a financial interest in. Putting posters you don't like on ignore is the equivalent of putting one's head in the sand to a very real risk to your holdings in retail held, sentiment driven stocks.
Personally I also don't want echo chambers of confirmation bias. I am normally very disciplined in trading and have to admit MSB threads on the recent period highs in 2020 undeniably influenced me in not selling a good chunk of my holdings. If someone makes a decent argument against owning a stock I want to hear. A couple of posters did flag FDA concerns prior to the GVHD calamity and were drowned/ridiculed out by the exuberance.
It also goes the other way. I shorted ZIP (and APT) amongst the exuberance of Hot Copper in 2021 (at $12). ZIP is a very risky investment, but I am actually now buying it at $0.50, literally in part due to the sheer dominance of down-rampers on Hot Copper that I believe have pushed its value below any reasonable heavily risk probability adjusted valuation.
Pledge, for once, actually makes some valid financial arguments in his latest post (nothing CYP holders should not have concluded for themselves) for example, amongst his usual 8,000 childish swipes at Sector.
