While the report had nothing new, with no commentary the headline figure was always going to negatively affect market sentiment. The timing of the release is very suspect and with the preceding price action/volume it suggests a coordinated attempt to either smash the share price and accumulate or pump the share price and dump. We will know when the broker data is released in a few days time, but either way retailers definitely got hosed by the big boys again.
