This is a very entertaining stock to watch, to say the least.
I'm really interested in understanding who was
buying on such
high volumes. It may have been technical traders pilling in as the buy/sell depth pivoted or it may have been further
institutional involvement. I'll be requesting another shareholder register update from the company shortly and will compare to prior to determine who was buying v selling.
The
emotional reactions to this stock continue. Anyone who had done even the slightest due diligence should have already known what the results would show (Half Yearly = Q1 + Q2!!) i.e. a drop compared to the pcp in terms of both revenue and profit - due to COVID (see the chart below). I believe it was traders and retail investors who panicked sold on this announcement.
I tend to agree with
@hushmoney that the timing of that release could have been done a lot better - a pre-market release is almost always better than a mid-day release as it allows investors to digest the content, act objectively and not be forced to react in the heat of the moment. My guess is that management, noting the price surge, thought this would be an ideal time to drop the half-yearly, but it unfortunately backfired and destroyed momentum. As far as I am aware, the half-yearly wasn't due today, it could have waited.
The rollercoaster of the ASX continues, such is the land of microcaps, but that's why I love it. The silver lining is that we are back to prices that I am very comfortable accumulating at despite being overweight in this stock. Looking forward to the US Head of Sales Announcement and any news of a GM contract renewal as it gets closer to June/July/August. The company remains in good shape - cash in the tank and turning their focus towards growth.
It is a no-brainer for me at these prices. We will see 3c+ again in the future and those patient enough to wait will be rewarded.
