well i'm in the optimist camp with ASIC, new chairman is ex-finance (goldmans) and i don't believe is going to be making any giant slap-downs as his first move, especially on a sector that aus is pioneering and has a chance to go global.
given the usual time frames they work on it won't be until late this year when we hear some initial feedback and the US will be up and running by then... assuming what molnar said was true it sounds like they've already got retailers lined up and ready to go, but will only announce once they go live... i can understand people who think the price here is stretched but would i short this? it would be one of the last names in the market i would short. positive catalysts considerably outweigh the negatives, in my opinion. any traction in the US will make the SP go vertical.
