A mate of mine was a project manager with Bechtel for many years. They only deal with Tier One partners and contractors. So it is extremely unlikely that they would even consider dealing with SPI as a partner or EDE as a supplier.

The only information 'source' for the supposed West Virginia data centres is SPI. Not a mention from any of the supposed partners or even the local media in Martinsburg WV.

SPI is the same shell company that also claimed to be building data centres in Finland and Norway. The Nordic data centres turned out to be nothing more than hot hair. This appears to be slightly less amateurish second attempt with a slightly less amateurish website. It still has the crudely rendered data centres images and a lot of waffle.

The West Virginia site is estimated to only worth USD1-2 million. That is less than 1% of the total project cost. Yet SPI is taking out a lease (estimated USD775/month) . It makes no sense whatsoever.The only plausible explanation is that SPI hasn't the money to purchase the site.
