Now by leasing the property they can't exactly profit from announcing a data centre yet here we are? Which is it? Might be the plausible explanation is that the current owners don't want to sell it? Or perhaps they have a better way to use the money they would spend on the property???
Indeed $775 per month would allow borrowing of around $150k - that to me seems an extraordinarily good deal for a property worth $2m. With a capital investment of $2m, a trivial 1% interest would net nearly $1000 per month after paying that lease.
