Speaking to some in the know recently, it appears that the longer the hold on the clinical trials the more likely event that new recruitment will be necessary ( of course if trials do recommence upon FDA lifting)
The logic is this..., in any clinical trial (especially earlier phases), volunteers are generously giving their precious time and effort not only in hope of oneself by moreover for the betterment of others to follow.
If we pause for one moment, this selfless behaviour is altruistic...., blessed souls IMO.
The outcome, then, is often that patient mortality ( not due to SAE) is likely pre approval of commercialisation of any compound.
