Coal prices are extremely low - TER is making next to nothing profit at the moment. Be prepared for an extremely poor quarterly.
However the silver lining is that TER has low cost of operations so literally they stopped making money at the bottom of the cycle - any uptick would saw them start making some decent money.
I doubt they would be selling in the spot market at the moment - there is no profit so why bother ?
I still dont get why they are trying to sell the BNU operation - it actually received fairly decent (in AUD) terms price for coal. With the 20% lower contractor operating - they could bank all those savings.
Suppose we will find out eventually.
