At this rate, electric trucks are a bit of a dream. The batteries' range is weak, the distance that needs to be covered is long, and the infrastructure has yet to be started. EV has issues of scale, they work in cars, but not HGV.
Could you imagine all the trucks driving across the nullabor, where would they charge? How long would they be off the road? Time is money in the trucking industry.
