Fair enough, but for me Saferoads is a bit of a countercyclical play - a nice long-term diversifier for my portfolio. I'd expect it to be a stabilising presence in the event there's a broad market meltdown - a bit like an insurance policy.

In any case, Saferoads has been a perfectly sound investment in its own right since around the time David Ashmore became chairman in 2012, as the chart below, comparing Saferoads with the All Ordinaries Index, shows.*

Note the pronounced periods of outperformance by SRH. My gut feeling is there's another one brewing.
