LMAO. I was actually referring to the almost 100% failure rate of melanocortin analogue drugs over the past 50 years due to severe side effects.
Punters here seem totally unaware that orphan drugs for diseases like EPP have much lower safety and efficacy requirements.
Bitopertin was originally developed by Roche as an antipsychotic. While it had an excellent safety profile it wasn't effective in treating schizophrenia.
