I agree doctor don't recommend oncology medical device based on twitter or Facebook marketing but Oncosil is not registered in AU and hence doctor won't recommend it either. so social media is more about spreading awareness within patients not just in AU but also outside Australia.
social media is not as important as getting TGA or FDA approval is but while they not doing anything in Australia to get TGA approval then they might spread awareness within patients in AU and USA where patients can access the device through special access scheme. social media will help patients to start conversations with their specialist... IMO.
