No cross promotion intended, (so feel free to mod this if I am breaking that rule), But just thought I'd ask those in the know on the PGC thread about their thoughts on the pending acquisition of Medical Australia limited (MLA). MLA has recently signed a scheme implementation agreement with a large company in the USA, ICU (ICUI, nasdaq), this would value the company around $12m, whilst also giving ICU a solid foothold into Australia, the offer has board approval pending any other offers.
Hypothetically speaking, does anyone here think PGC's currently in the market for an acquisition? I believe MLA has some solid cross-over with PGC, as a well as offering a few new revenue streams in complementary areas. I think the current ICU offer is some what predatory after MLA's past 12mths of trading, and after a fair bit of reviewing couldn't come across any other operators large enough outside of PGC that might work?
