Forecasting supply and demand is fraught with risk, particularly with REEs, but it is an essential exercise in any commercial undertaking. I am yet to see anyone attempt to make this assessment with regard to REEs.
I entirely concur with your assessment of Lynas ' position relative to other would be REE producers. Hastings and possibly ASM (if their commercially untested "metalization" works) may succeed but time will tell.
