If they're confident enough with their technology, innovation, and progress towards the ultimate goal of manufacturing; then the market will publicise their achievements and the investors will come knocking. They simply would just be wasting their time seeking investors right now because whatever they say to prospective investors right now, will be dwarfed by the deluge of people wanting a slice of these innovative products in a few years (hopefully less!!) from now.
