Veecat, if you're calculating the aforementioned $650mil for the half year based upon p13 from today, you have your figures wrong. The combined revenue (of around $1.3bil for the full year) in that preso refers to combined sales to June 2014 (refer note on p14). So this combined revenue figure had at least 9 months of ED figures (before the actual integration into DDR). The reason this is important is that DDR dropped the Apple and Adobe distributorships immediately upon taking over ED. So those combined revenue figures are bloated by gear that was sold before DDR took over ED, whereas the 6 months (to Dec 2014) of around $500mil actual revenue is post-integration (and therefore not bloated by Apple sales).
And this leads onto your second point a little. The size of the object has zero to do with what you can charge. There are different margins for different products, but suffice to say Apple product are DREADFULLY low margin, and that is why DDR dropped them. Selling Apple might make revenue numbers look good but it will do virtually NOTHING for the bottom line.
