We are absolutely 100% moving into a world of off device storage. Here's what I believe the future of technology looks like.
1. Massive rail-guns to launch satellites for massive comms arrays in low orbit. X-ray/ultrahigh bandwidth networking speeds.
2. Fibre optics will become legacy very quickly, used exclusively for LAN systems, high security systems, subscription TV and perhaps as peer2peer connections with (X)g broadband so we don't xray our bodies with daily use.
3. Portable devices and PC based computers, et al. will become ReRAM based devices without the need for persistent storage. ReRAM will replace both DRAM and FRAM in our devices.
4. Finally, the world will become hyper-meshed and your information will land on a triplicated cloud server faster than it can write itself to its own flash today. That massive cloud storage is going to be ReRAM and it JUST MIGHT be 4DS.

30 years ago I used coax for T-base 2mb LAN and the internet was for chatting on Yahoo through a 14.4 KILO BIT SECOND dial-up modem..
My mobile phone was the size of a shoe-box and probably cooked my brain with every use. Texting was unheard of and voice calls echoed like the old can and string phones.

I thought it wouldn't get any better.

Today my house is fully meshed with 5gb WiFi and then through fibre going out. At 40,000 feet in the air on a WiFi enabled airplane, I can check and adjust my swimming pool chemistry and turn on my pools heater and filter pump so it's ready when I get home in a couple of hours.
All on a handheld device that is most often my computer, though it's supposed to be my phone.

Technology ALWAYS gets better. 4DS is on the cusp of the next great leap in that advancement. If they can pull this off, it will be worth a fortune and everyone in the industry is well aware of that. I am much less concerned about what it will be worth compared to can they bring it to the market with performance expectations. That's the faith-based part of this trade. We've some very talented people working towards that end.
