I do actually hold them in my name. My shares are held in a nominee set up. Just not immediately available on the public registrar. Its not uncommon.
The Board and executives hold the majority of voting power that is actually exercised. I burned my bridges arguing with them on shortcomings over the years (that have mostly been addressed for my mind) that were highlighted on HotCopper by myself and others. No way they vote me on.
To be honest the Board is a lot better than it was...still a bit of driftwood and cronyism, but better.
