i think people need to stop doomposting. it wont help any of us. fact is a succesful pl5 run is GOOD. it shows that the results are reproducible and consistent, and as an engineer, the fact they have decided to do the pl5 run first means that they're being sensible. the pl6 run needs every advantage it can have. sure it might just work fine and be simple being area based and not particularly complex in terms of fabrication *having ironed out the issues with etch at 60nm - I for one feel much more confident in their decision making knowing they've decided to do this.

I think shareholders that are upset about that decision just don't have any clue what they're investing in and shouldn't be given the time of day as their opinion is uninformed. unfortunately any new interest that comes in and sees the tone of some of these prolific but uneducated posts might be given a completely inaccurate view of whats going on here.
