Why would Stoner jump on board of it had no potential?
It doesn't look good the shell companies but the Chinese often do things in odd ways we can't understand for industrial/political reasons I suspect.
I don't intend to mystify but for example a former clothes manufacturer ShanShan is now a major lithium battery manufacturer. It's the people behind it that matters (about 2000 in total hold the reins) and as you know surety of supply is VIP for China right now.
Patience required. There is still time for the CEOs ambitions to be realised before sentiment should start waning not before.
