why does everyone want them to pay dividends ? if the accounts r real then wouldn't it be much better to reinvest that money back into the business instead of paying dividend which will be taxed ?? and i think people have also forgotten that the shares going down is because of people choosing to sell at a lower price not the company the company is not the stock pressure shouldn't be put on the company to inflate prices in the short run but to build a sustainable business. the company didnt tell people to sell their shares they chose to do it because they didnt pay dividends in one half yearly tells u people arent really investing but just want a stream of income which doesnt make sense cause profits have to be reinvested in a business to grow or incase something bad happens along the way.
