We're all weighing up our negotiating strength. This is how I see it.
PharmAust reflects the strengths and weaknesses of its main players more than any company I've owned. The good news is that negotiating periods are when PharmAust will shine because it's when our strengths come to the fore.
From past experience, all will seem boringly quiet in the lead-up and win/win agreements are really only nutted out when the players are evenly matched ... we're little but those longer patent lives add the outsized clout needed for a company making deal.
Our negotiating foundation is in. The Board ... deliberate, very patient, very stubborn ... and remember, speed (not our strong point), is irrelevant in a staring contest.
