"Where are the key markets? The US has the largest single reuse market by installed capacity. China’s market is catching up, and currently accounts for 48% of newly installed water reuse capacity. India boasts the third largest market, followed by the Taiwan and the Middle Eastern markets which are growing steadily. The reuse market is trending towards advanced treatment levels, driven by high-quality water demand and upgrades to improve the quality of reused water in agricultural applications. Nearly 55% of new capacity installed after 2019 is tertiary level. Cumulative triple-barrier capacity has doubled since 2010, with triple-barrier treatment growing quickly and accounting for 20% of new capacity."
