    There is a bit of a balancing act with rights issues...

    If they are tradeable there is a few options and you could potentially do a mixture:

    (1) Do nothing, let them expire.
    (2) Accept some or all of your rights at .5 cents.
    (3) Sell some rights on market.
    (4) Sell some shares on-market to pay for rights.
    (6) Wait and see what happens - sometimes people can't do the math and randomly sell down to the rights issue price.

    I should make it clear these are just the options that come to mind for me - seek financial advice if you want actual advice.

    For me personally though I intend to take them up, I think the company is giving shareholders are opportunity to fund as much of Talisman and/or Rahu development as they want before it goes on the block to the big boys.

    And you are right, these particular big boys have a way of turning gold into gold.
