    I think there is sufficient demand around the world to accommodate multiple technologies concurrently so not as concerned about risk of no take up. I don't consider these technologies to be in competition with one another. We will probably end up with hybrid applications to supplement each other's shortcomings.

    There will still probably continued use of gas for base load power and now talk of the need for nuclear energy (in Australia).

    Western Europe - push to rely less on Russian gas!

    Then of course there are the island states that are still relying completely on diesel!!!

    So not mutually exclusive.

    With commercial barges, I would have thought there electricity demands are 24/7. I don't see why barges cannot have solar/battery and wave energy to supplement each other.

    Again, not mutually exclusive.
