You're right, he is a seasoned player and like the rest of this band of "merry Hopper men/women" we have all followed him into what appears to be a financial abyss. Obviously, the hope always is/was for a sizeable return based on the risk of the investment... we all know the risks ... if you haven't been burnt then you really haven't invested in biotech.
It has nothing to do with global uncertainty. The research and technology aside, its about reasonable, acceptable financial management and governance and not treating retail (certainly) and institutions (possibly) like mugs.
There seems to be a need to self-immolate with the current Board/Company strategy being employed, and across several commonly related entities.
Either its all smoke and mirrors to keep the pay cheques coming in or we just aren't being patient enough. Time will tell I guess.
Just my opinion of course.
