In some cases tradable Options have been included in Buy Outs but at face value no premium paid.
In most cases The Buyer will only pay a premium on heads not on Non Exercised Options..
Big Pharma also like to pay in shares not cash , Eli Lilly especially , which isn't a bad option as those that want to stay on can benefit from the Technology they have nurtured to commercialisation , those that don't just sell on market for the cash,,,, one benefit having Big Pharma Shares is Dividends...
Keep in mind Big Pharma try to only satisfy one group "Their Shareholders"
Also BP will try and trap the SP before it takes off on a run .. with an offer that causes a TH
