The sentiment and intent of my musing remains unchanged; it is unlikely a sophisticated investor will pay capital gains tax (in totality) and/or benefit from the CGT reduction, whether it be through company/holding structure or over-arching tax mitigation strategy (not specific to a single investment) and thus it is particularly unlikely we have seen the conversion of the notes on the basis of a tax play.
