    there is a good chance those debentures are bought back.. there is a clause that says they can be repaid with a ROI of 18% if I remember correctly.

    if the cash rolls in over the next few years and there is no good opportunity to put those funds to work then buying out those debentures might be the next best thing.

    Piramal is focused on investing in India so possible could not invest in FND (aus), also they would struggle to buy 16% of FND on market.
