In my experience, end of day announcements are only a concern if they are operational or the periodic reports. It means that have reservations to just dropping that particular news into the market during trading and you'd only have reservations if the news was bad. I don't recall any of these from ICI in recent months.

But if the announcements that come after close is just conversion of options or the various minor share adjustments (Appendix 3Y, change of subst. holding etc etc) its completely normal to release those after hours. Even the big boys do this (CBA etc) and no one really cares.

I am interested in your take on the candlesticks and momentum. To my simple TA mind (which barely does TA at all) it looked like we were finally heading up for some unknown reason, but if you think we have run out of momentum I would be interested to see the candlestick chart you refer to. Cheers
