“They” didn’t blow the money. A company is an abstract entity that is purely a reflection of the people running it. The people running RAC today are not the same people as in 2023.
None of this has anything to do if taking up your options is a good idea. Even if you were the person who paid $4.23 for your RAC shares there is no rational reason to not exercise your bonus options before June 4.
