"Matt Goodson, managing director of Salt Funds, told New Zealand media the market was concerned about the long-term impact of a licence.“The concern, obviously, is not so much any temporary suspension of the licence, if it goes forward,” Mr Goodson said.“It’s what does it signal in terms of the Department of Internal Affairs’ attitude to Sky City, and are there other issues that will come out in the wash?”
I tend to agree with this guy. This could open the door up to other complaints. Also, it seems like NZ now wants to be seen as taking action - they've spent the last couple of years doing nothing while Australia has been implementing significant regulatory changes.
So much uncertainty surrounding SKC and casinos in generals at the moment.
However, if you play it long-term and you are correct, you will win big time.
