The administrator will do whatever is in the creditors' best interests. If that means telling them that they need to take a haircut and hand the keys back to company management on a debt-free basis, then that is what is supposed to happen. Although in the overwhelming majority of cases, the assets simply get hocked to the highest bidder.
I wonder if the highly specialised nature of heatset printing presses might make this situation one of those ultra rare cases where the shareholders don't get completely wiped out.
