Well, my other investment was in SLX, sitting on over $5.3m in unrealised profits on that one, so hopefully, I won't starve. Although all up I tipped just under $1.1m into this turkey, which means that I've lost more on this one investment than on every other investment in my entire life combined.

I never thought that the biggest operator in an industry that creates bona fide value for customers would go belly up after it had brought in well-regarded leadership, fixed structural labour issues, replaced outdated machinery, and cut down on its lease footprint.

It seemed to me that they were doing everything right, but with the benefit of hindsight, it was all too little too late.
