VHA is worth more than TPG could pay. I think this years rumour about NZ voda and TPG has also changed as well, it is too much for TPG. I do not think TPG wants to be the next worldcom.
The synergy would be great but voda and hutch have spent too much to dump it. Mr Li has put 12 billion of his own money into all his various mobile companies over the years, part of the reason we all have good phones now and it would be crazy to give up just before it turns positive.
The other main shareholders also risked it all and lost, so it needs to come pretty good for them to be rewarded. HTA has the potential to become one if the best quality companies in Australia, I would rather stay with them.
