This is a good appointment.
However it is merely a non-executive directorship and there’s a limit to how much influence he can have, no matter how competent he may be.
What I found surprising is the apparent lack of scrutiny and accountability placed on the underperforming CEO by BOD so perhaps this will trigger an appetite for change in that regard. One can only hope.
