whoah. this is a massive announcement. in the company's words, what a coup this is!!!

i dont know how they've gotten the individual who has run unsecured lending from CBA (a $200B company!) to leave there, with all their knowledge around credit risk and optimisation to join Wisr, but IMHO this speaks absolute volumes for the quality of the company. The only way someone like that leaves CBA for a move like this is if they really believe in the long term strategy of the company, and have a package thats hopefully aligned to the upside.

Most importantly, any major insto or fund that has been sitting and watching and had any concerns about the future credit capability in Wisr has just been given a huge tick given this appointment. Dont underestimate what a difference this will make in terms of the quality of the business, and the trust from future capital to drive it forward. Most fintech's are miles away from having someone of this calibre from one of the big4 in their business. this might be the catalyst for the run we've all been expecting...
