Given the chinese maybe have been shorting the stock to get the price down for a lowball to fly through.
Citigroup may provide some lift to the sp as it applies its own techniques to manipulate the sp back up so a more reasonable offer will be provided.
Its like selling your house without a real estate agent when the buyer is gonna foot the bill anyway.
