Sorry for the panic. Obviously they know they are firing the CEO as they have already got a replacement. Directors aren't surprised - so it's fairly obvious what has happened, CEO failed to deliver turn around at Nifty (which we already know about), and now Directors are acting. Directors clearly think this is a good move hence the big buying.
Would say this could even be perhaps a positive sign, that directors are actively involved in ensuring management is held accountable. It is bad that the company has not been doing well with developing Nifty, but that's obvious from the current SP.
