Whether the appointment of Jeremy Kirkwood to the board of Hawsons is aresult of:

· Therecent action taken by significant shareholders;

· Theboard skills review undertaken by the board;

· Orsome combination of both of the above,

This has to be one of the best announcements from Hawsons this year.

In my opinion, Jeremy appears to have the right mix of skills andexperience with a corporate finance background combined with ASX listedresource experience. He currently serves on the board of Talisman Mining who has as its chairman and key shareholder Kerry Harmanis of Jubilee Mining fame. Therefore, as Jeremy has the trust and respect of someone like Kerry Harmanis, I see Jeremy Kirkwood as a very significant addition to the HIO board.

I wouldn’t expect someone like Jeremy Kirkwood to join the HIO boardunless he also believed in the project and thought he could add some value.

Will be interesting to see what the initial director’s interest notice says.
