Perhaps a voluntary code might be introduced whereby certain ASX companies such as resource/exploration companies hold shareholder meetings every quarter at the release of quarterlies?
When Sprott was a major shareholder, I think they had a certain influence on the then management.
In our case now, I think that generally, shareholders have a high regard for Mr Borg both for his knowledge and his shareholding.
There appears to me to be a nearly 100% continuity with the new board with two already with the company and Mr Borg already being a large shareholder.
I'm not in agreement with some of the criticisms of the previous board , posted here - however to ALL of those who arranged this new board, Its a good result. There would have been at least one change to the previous board anyway. So we have arrived at what might have been in the future, rather sooner IMO.
Yes, if it becomes a norm for interventionist shareholders then no doubt regulations will be put in place and management/board will report on what percentage of time is spent managing shareholders and what percentage on managing the company. And perhaps, if there are negative outcomes for intervention by shareholders they will be held accountable. It is a whole new world and one evolving as we speak. As I said, interesting perhaps as a template for the future.
