Sam Stevens works for HOYTS as Sales Admin Assistant, Accounts and more recently Sales Executive.
So he plays video games in his spare time and it qualifies him to become an ASX listed companies' Business Development Specialist?
This announcement says he is a "former professional esports gamer". What game was he a professional at? What team did he play for? Who were his sponsors?
I cannot find any information RE his "full-time career in gaming" apart from his linkedin which shows he is a humble sales person at HOYTS.
His compensation is a measly 500,000 performance rights (ie. $16,000 at todays share price), conditional on certain milestones of course.
So really it's simply a sales person working for free until milestones are hit - a far cry from an 'appointment of business development specialist'.
The title sounds flashy enough for a headline, though.
