Just to be clear (and I have not used the wording internal/ external etc): to have BoD members go from NED (non-technical corporate commercial) to executive MD of an exploration company is a rarity! When the resource is yet to be a proven reserve and I have been involved on both sides of the table and international searches are both expensive and time consuming.
On the actual search itself I can only go on information in the public domain.
If you have more information about the actual executive search we here are all ears ...
What I do know is getting good highly qualified, experienced and skilled people out of an existing similar role is hard: full stop.
Damn hard, even too hard in this market. Hence, my Sinicism ...
