Here you go guy's this is what powers the Gascoyne region in WA.

All towns generate their own electricity through diesel, gas or a combination of diesel and gas generation plant. Horizon Power is the supply authority for the Gascoyne region.
Carnarvon is served by the only power station in Regional WA that can run on diesel, gas or a combination of diesel and gas. The generating capacity is approximately 12MW. A new, gas fired, power station is planned for completion in the next five years and will have a capacity of 15MW with 6MW generated by wind turbines.
Exmouth is serviced by a new gas fired (8 MW) power station. Gas is trucked in from the Dampier to Perth gas line via Burkett Rd. Three small wind turbines (20KW each) augment power to the town.
Coral Bay has a new power station comprising seven low-load diesel engines generating 2.2 MW. Three 275 KW wind turbines augment supplies by up to 45%.
Gascoyne Junction is serviced by a new diesel generating station owned and operated by Energy Generation Pty Ltd. Horizon Power maintains the distribution to consumers.
The system in Denham comprises 3 Enercon E-30 wind turbines (total capacity 690 kW), 2 single low load diesels (250 kW), four conventional diesel engines (1,720 kW total), a Dynamic Grid Interface (100 kW) and the power station control system. This was the first installation of Low Load Diesel generator technology and the system has significantly increased wind energy penetration.
