Where is thus "pristine" land you say is going to be "destroyed"? It just a gold mine in poor quality farmland, out of sight from everyone passing by. It will be rehabilitated when mining is complete.
This is basic stuff. Sounds like you dont have a clue where the proposed mine is located, nor any idea what a mine actually consists of.
