I asked the same question in another thread here about a week ago, And I guess if the object of the technology,as I understand it is to facilitate quick and precise diagnosis then yes; when it has eventually been fully developed it will most certainly would have prevented the current situation of a run-away pandemic.
However I think it would have little effect in a bloody authoritarian communist state with a dictator who espouses the ideas of Mao!!
And actually threatens jail for the doctors who first tried to let people know as early as the first week in December 2019!!!!!
